I was born august 1986, which makes me 25 years old now. I'm from Denmark, where I was born in Roskilde. If you ask my mother, she will tell you that I started drawing in an early age. I wasn't very good, and when we got a computer in the house. I started playing a lot of computer games. I was really hooked and it was more fun than drawing. When I turned 19 years old, I had finished my high school and was looking for things to do. I had already been looking into 3D as a hobby. My biggest dream at the time was to be part of making a feature film. I knew there was an animation and computer graphics school in Viborg. But it was 200 kilometers away and one of the requirements was that you should be able to draw. So I took a year of working and gathering some money. One year later I went to Viborg, but to take a drawing course which was going to take one year.
It was a challenge to learn drawing. Almost everybody at the school had been drawing like crazy monkeys since the where born. And I hadn't really drawn since I was 13 years old. At first I was terrible, but over the half year course I got better. Now I had a couple of months before I had to apply for the school. So I decided to live of pizza and work my butt of. My neighbor was also applying for the school, so we helped each other out and was up late every evening to get the drawings done. I didn't want to apply again and again I wanted to get in the first time. This can be hard because it's a popular school.
Finally in 2009 I got accepted at the school, the first time I applied. The school is a really cozy feel good place. But it's also hard working and everybody is very engaged in the teaching. I touched most every aspects of the pipeline. My weapon of voice is modeling, texturing, rigging and lighting. I know how to do other stuff as well, like eating, sleeping and walking. I of course mean that I know a bit of drawing, concept art, compositing and so on.
In my spare time I like to relax with some friends, make some good food and drink a couple of beers. I work out a couple of times a week in the gym, because I'm spending the whole day in front of the computer, so I at least like to do something else.
In my future I will hopefully be working on feature films, because that is what I always dreamed about. I would like to give people an experience when they go to the cinema. At some point I would like to make my own films. But for now I'm looking for an internship in 3 months during the summer 2012. I'm about to finish my bachelor film at The Animation Workshop.
